Smile!

Our loft used to be home to what might have been the most boring webcam in the world. It was some cheap thing that we received as a free gift from the cable company, so the image quality was horrible and the cord was too short to allow the camera to be positioned anywhere remotely interesting. We’re also quite stingy with our bandwidth, so the image only updates every 10 minutes, and that’s when we actually remember to turn the webcam software on.

Thanks to Rose, we are now the proud owners of a non-crappy webcam. It takes pretty video and has a long cord (so it can be placed in a better location than next to the computer tower on the floor). But we’re still stingy with our bandwidth (although we lowered the time to 5 minutes) and forgetful about starting the software, so I suppose it still might be rather boring.

You are currently viewing the loft. It is filled with super-stylish Ikea furniture (and one entertainment center from the Disneyland Hotel). If you are lucky, you may spot Denise knitting or typing away on the computer or the kids riffling through the baskets on the bookshelf. (Even more rare: the sight of Kyle.) You can view the most recent photos by using the WebCam link on the sidebar.

(Incidentally, my motivation for doing this? The kids think it is super cool. That is pretty much it.)

Oopsie!

I was messing around with my template yesterday, and accidentally changed it to something random, which I then left up for ages because I was too lazy to look at what I had done. For those of you who saw my blog when it looked kind of hideous over the past 24 hours, I apologize. As my penance, I have fixed the two pages that were a perpetual problem (the archives, which went poof because- duh, it’s in the sidebar, and photos, which received a low tech solution, but- hey, no errors!) I also increased the font size for easier reading.
In other blog related news, I think that I am going to start cross-posting to MySpace. Imagine that.

In non-blog related news, I feel miserable today. Weeping has given way to a wretched headache. Perhaps it will be cured by neon sour gummi worms? I hope so.
