A Fresh Start

Should I be posting to my blog right now? No. Probably not. I should be finishing the second sleeve of my hourglass sweater, because I don’t want to disappoint Illana when I show up at class tonight. I should be driving over to the post office to mail the P.F. Chang’s Rock and Roll Marathon shirt that Kyle snagged for my dad. I should be putting together the Aneboda underbed storage box that I bought at Ikea, as it still consists of many pieces strewn about the kids’ room.

But I’m so eager to launch Wallflower Grown Wild, version 2.0! Those of you who read my old blog (all three of you) may be wondering about the reason behind the new look and domain name. Here’s the story: My hosting company moved their servers, which resulted in months of downtime and quite a few headaches for moi. (Notice the lack of updates?) So I finally chucked them in favor of Dreamhost, a super hosting company that’s been entirely pleasant to deal with. Dreamhost offered a free domain name registration (hence the new wallflowergrownwild.com domain) and one-click install of WordPress (hence the retirement of Blogger, which was entirely servicable, in favor of WordPress, which looked slightly cooler in terms of features.) I may import my old Blogger entries when I find the time, but don’t hold your breath waiting for it. This blog is a work in progress and will be evolving over the next few weeks.

If you followed me here to the new site- thank you! If you’re a new reader- welcome! Now I’m off to go do something responsible instead of frittering my day away in front of the computer, eating string cheese and drinking diet Wild Cherry Pepsi.
